Management service providers for paper, publishing and print

Future Publishing purchases the Perfected Paper Solutions, Paper Management software

Future Publishing, one the largest UK consumer magazine publishers, has purchased the Perfected Paper Solutions, Paper Management Software. This purchase represents the first sale for the recently announced joint venture business, Perfected Paper Solutions, which was formed by Perfected Solutions Ltd and Publishing Paper Solutions in May 2002.

Future Publishing produces over 50 UK monthly magazine titles across a broad range of subjects, including PC Gaming, Leisure, and Consumer Electronics. High profile titles include amongst many others; Official Playstation and Official Playstation 2, PC Plus, Total Film, Metal Hammer, Hi Fi Choice and Manchester United.

Future Publishing's paper purchases represent considerable expenditure to the company, and their purchase of the software is expected to streamline order processes, maintain low inventory levels, whilst providing in depth and accurate financial reporting structures.

With paper accounting for more than 30% of any publishers' production costs, the Perfected Paper Solutions Paper Management Software  enables the paper purchaser to tightly control printer and supplier inventory levels, and to put in place established ordering practices.

The software provides a range of in depth and analytical financial reports, enabling any publisher to monitor current and future paper expenditure. Together with historical analysis and recharging reports, the system delivers a one-stop solution for single or multiple suppliers, and the complexity of multiple stocks, grammages and print locations. The dedicated paper management software provides publishers with their own software enabling complete freedom of supplier choice.

Perfected Solutions Ltd was formed in the early 1980's by Brian Whittaker, whose background as an accountant with PWC (formerly Coopers Lybrand) working with the printing industry, led him to develop the paper management software.

Publishing Paper Solutions was formed early in 2001 by Chris Palmer and Paul Venediger, who had both worked within the UK paper industry for many years, selling publishing and fine papers to magazine publishers, printers and end-users.
